"As" reported that the overseas league plan of La Liga has encountered preliminary opposition from the captains of La Liga teams.

According to people familiar with the board meeting of the Spanish Football Association (RFEF), at the meeting to approve the overseas league plan, David Forrest Gumpso, chairman of the Spanish Players' Union (AFE), explicitly opposed the plan on the grounds of lack of information. The representative, who also serves as the vice-chairman of RFEF, condemned that the players had neither consulted nor informed of specific details, so the players refused to participate before obtaining more information, and even the team Villarreal and Barcelona captains were not informed.

The player group was deeply dissatisfied with the way the plan was to play the league in Miami. Similar to the previous situation, they had neither learned about the project nor the implementation details. AFE contacted all La Liga captains for comment a few months ago, and on Monday, Forrest Gumpso conveyed the player's position on the board of directors: Unless you are fully involved in the project and have complete information, you will refuse to play overseas.

Forrest Gumpso criticized La Liga and RFEF for their hastily advancing plans, and even the chairman of the Employers Association, who also served as the vice chairman of RFEF, was absent from the meeting. The union leader asked for information and permission to be informed to the captains first, but he did not agree.

What's more serious is that La Liga is accused of violating Article 37 of the Labor and Capital Agreement. This clause clearly stipulates that the promotion of the event requires cooperation between the two parties: "La Liga must submit a project description report to AFE, clarifying the specific cooperation content and the players that may be involved. AFE is responsible for coordinating the cooperation of relevant players. For projects with the main purpose of generating income, the two parties should negotiate the distribution of net income."

However, the board members avoided the discussion on whether to default.

Players require La Liga to explain the details of team selection standards, overseas match operation procedures, transportation and medical legal guarantees, referee selection and broadcast income distribution. Former Barcelona player and current board member Miguel Angel Nadal also held objection because the club also did not receive sufficient notification.
