Spanish Football Federation President Luzan has been in office for 10 months. When attending an event, he talked about the 2030 World Cup.

Regarding the host cities for the 2030 World Cup

Valencia and Vigo were not selected as pre-selected cities. These cities have already made preparations, and the final decision will be made by FIFA. This is expected to have an impact of €5 billion on GDP and €2.5 billion will be invested in stadium renovations.

About the venue for the World Cup final

I think it is unexplainable if the World Cup final is not held in Spain. Spain accounts for 55% of the organization of the event, so it is natural that it should be the venue for the final. All parties in football need to be united.

On the possibility of Vigo hosting the World Cup

I told the mayor of Vigo that sometimes it is better to say less and do more. That stadium will take another two years to complete and will have 30,000 seats when completed, but FIFA's requirement is 43,000 and he said he would build a stadium that could seat 43,000. Deportivo La Coruña and Vigo had stadiums that hosted the World Cup in 1982 and as a Galician I would be very honored if they could be used as venues again. They need to do their job and Deportivo have taken on the responsibility of expanding a stadium with 32,000 seats to 43,000. As a true Galician, I hope we can at least have a venue, maybe not but I hope not not at all. Now we enter the home stretch. Regarding Valencia, this is a stadium with a capacity of 70,000 spectators. Work has been suspended for 16 years and now it is finally being completed. I think such a stadium should be included in the list of possible venues.

Regarding the parking lot issue that may affect the Bernabeu as the venue for the World Cup final

There are currently three candidate venues, namely in Madrid, Barcelona and Casablanca. There is definitely a judgment and we need to have a lot of dialogue and a lot of issues can be solved through dialogue. We need to find common ground, this is a missed opportunity, I don't know much about this project but I think there needs to be more infrastructure around the stadium, let's see what happens in the next few years.
