Recently, NBA legend Derek Ross talked about his 50th-minute night in 2018 in an interview.

Ross said: "That game takes the time. Because Jimmy (Butler) didn't play, Jeff (Teag) didn't play, and that was Halloween night. That game allowed me to return to the league, and without that game, I might not be able to play in a year. This game allowed me to regain my foothold in the league and fight for another five or six years."

Looking back at Ross' career, his highest score in a single game was 50 points. On November 1, 2018, Ross made 19 of 31 shots, 4 of 7 three-pointers, and 8 of 11 free throws, scoring 50 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block, helping the Timberwolves defeat the Jazz 128-125. Ross' span between two 40+ games in the first and last quarter reached 2784 days, the sixth longest in NBA history.
