According to ESPN, Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has consulted many athletes on Achilles tendon injury.

Lillard consulted other NBA players who had suffered a torn Achilles tendon, including Kevin Durant and Rudy Guy, as well as NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Lillard said that these exchanges, coupled with his consultation with physiotherapists and doctors, gave him confidence to return to the All-Star level.

According to previous news, Lillard is likely to miss the entire 2025-26 season due to a torn left Achilles tendon.
