At the members' meeting, Real Madrid president Florentino criticized La Liga president Tebas, and one of the members also demanded that he be listed as "persona non grata". On social media, Tebas once again expressed his emotions as a Real Madrid fan.

Tebas wrote: Today, at the Real Madrid membership meeting, a member proposed that I be listed as "persona non grata". The chairman responded: "If everyone agrees, I don't know what the benefit is." Some people applauded. Frankly, I only have one emotion and that is sadness.

I have been a Real Madrid fan since I was six years old, when I returned to Spain with my family. No one forced me, I didn't inherit my father's or grandfather's membership card, I became a Real Madrid fan by my own choice. The true spirit of Real Madrid is not given by a piece of paper, a vote or a seat in the stands. It lives in the hearts of millions of anonymous fans who cheer and grieve for the team, many times more so than those with privilege.

Some people accuse me of not supporting Real Madrid, but I am not that person. It is painful to hear this statement. I am still one of the staunchest Real Madrid fans. That is why I defend a league that is strong, competitive and valuable to all clubs. Because without a solid La Liga, Real Madrid will also become small.

Today, those leading Real Madrid are pushing for big projects that weaken and destroy the 'home' that helped them grow (La Liga), rather than the club itself or its history. To defend La Liga is to defend the ecosystem that makes Real Madrid the great player it is today.

They can call me 'persona non grata' and they can try to exclude me from the Real Madrid story, but they can't erase the feelings I've had since I was six years old. Defending La Liga the way I do is also defending Real Madrid, and that won't change because of a conference or a label.
