Spanish media: Former Russian international participated in a bar fight last year and may be sentenced to up to three years in prison

According to Western media farodevigo, 35-year-old former Russian international Feodor Smolov may be sentenced to up to three years in prison for a bar fight last May.
TASS reported that Smolov was charged with intentional physical harm to others, a crime that can be sentenced to up to three years in prison. Videos circulating on social media showed Smolov approaching two customers in the bar, then had an argument and eventually turned into physical conflict.
Afterwards, the player, who was once considered one of Russia's best strikers, expressed regret for his actions and called it "unacceptable." Smolov played for Krasnodar and Dynamo Moscow, and briefly joined the Spanish side Celta in 2020.
He said he had tried to resolve the conflict in a peaceful manner but was insulted, and he also expressed his willingness to compensate the victims for their losses.
