According to Italian journalist Pedula, Pioli has reached an agreement with Florence on coaching.

Pedura wrote: "Pioli has reached an agreement with Fiorentina. We will see what will happen and how he will respond if the Italian Football Association regards him as the second-ranked coach of the national team. Because obviously the first choice is not him, despite the contrary statement before."

"Fiorentina has been in contact with Farioli, but the first choice for the new coach is still Pioli, and is currently waiting for the next move by Italian Football Association Chairman Gravina."
