AS reported that the chairman of Valencia issued a letter to shareholders, saying that unity and the construction of a new stadium are the key to the future.

Valencia Club Chairman Kiat Lim (Lin Rongfu’s son) issued a letter contained in the non-economic management report to the club’s shareholders before the upcoming shareholders’ meeting. In the letter, Kiat Lim talks about the spirit of solidarity shown by the club and fans during the DANA disaster and the importance of the move to the new Mestalla Stadium for the future.

However, in these six paragraphs, he did not mention anything about the team's competitive performance, the difficulties experienced last season, or specific plans for the future.

Kiat Lim’s letter reads as follows:

In the 2024-25 season, Valencia Football Club has demonstrated its strong commitment to society and the urban environment. This year, the severe DANA disaster affected many towns in the Valencian Community, and the club responded quickly, united, coordinated and decisively.

The Mestalla Stadium, where thousands of people gather every week, was used to support the city and became one of the main centers for aiding citizens. In the most critical moments after the disaster, the Mestalla Stadium served as a logistics center for the food bank, collecting large amounts of food, essential supplies and other supplies. Thousands of Valencia fans, citizens, employees and people from all over the country actively participated in this action, making the stadium a symbol of hope and unity, living up to the slogan "Always United", and we helped the affected people through various charity activities.

Players, women’s team members and staff also personally visited some disaster-stricken towns to participate in emotional assistance activities to support disaster-stricken families. These actions once again demonstrate the Valencian spirit of solidarity, which stands with people when they need it most.

In addition to the support of the Foundation and all Valencia fans, we have also allocated resources to rebuild the sports facilities damaged by DANA. In coordination with local governments and local entities, part of the club's efforts are being directed toward restoring sports venues that are vital to the daily lives of many children, adolescents, and youth, thereby demonstrating the club's commitment not only to responding to emergencies but also to ensuring the continuity of regional sports activities.

At the same time, this season is also a turning point in the construction of the new Mestalla Stadium, the club's most important infrastructure strategic project. The new stadium, with a capacity of 70,000 spectators, will be designed according to sustainability, energy efficiency and accessibility standards. The New Mestalla will not only become a benchmark in the field of sports, but will also serve as a year-round urban space offering a wide range of entertainment options. This development signals the club’s strong commitment to the future, with modern, multi-functional facilities designed to provide fans with a holistic experience.

Valencia Football Club continues to consolidate its role as a responsible institution, both in the field of sport and in terms of social responsibility.
