The conversations over the past few weeks have further strengthened my confidence: we can continue to succeed. Through honest efforts, clear decisions and great enthusiasm, we hope to contribute to the return of Dortmund's former glory. We still have a lot of common goals to achieve here."
Dortmund Sports Director Lars Ricken said: "Nico devotes himself to Dortmund's mission. He is a football expert with clear principles, open-minded and rewarding performance. In his strict discipline, he is a soccer expert. Under the guidance, we re-entered the victory track, with more stable defense, significantly increasing goals, and once again showing an attractive football style. From the beginning, negotiations were very fair, respectful and focused on solutions. This mutual trust is the basis for our cooperation. "
Dortmund Sports Director Sebastian Kyle emphasized: "We are very happy that Nico and his coaching team's contract extension. This clarity is important for everyone to keep everyone focused on the tasks of this season and coming.
