Bayern will play against Chelsea in the first round of the Champions League match on Wednesday. In an interview with the Munich Daily recently, Bayern President Heiner talked about topics such as his expectations for the new season of the Champions League, his review of the past year, and his re-election for the Bayern president.

- The new season of the Champions League is about to begin, and the new competition system will continue to be used:

Hener: "I look forward to it very much, and because the new competition system is very exciting. Looking back on the last round of the group stage, the standings fluctuated greatly. Through this reform, we can see more direct matches between the top European teams in the group stage. Last season, for example, we had to face Paris, which later won the Champions League championship very early - at that time we were the only team to beat Paris in the event."

- Bayern vs. Chelsea is a matchup between a stable Bundesliga team and a wealthy Premier League team:

Hener: "The Premier League's financial advantage is indeed a fact - so it will be more difficult for Bayern. But we have a very good team, which can be seen in the first three rounds of the Bundesliga. And don't forget that the three wounded players, Musiara, Alfonso Davis and Ito Yoshiki will also return to the roster in the next few months."

- I believe that if everything goes well in the Champions League in the new season, there will be great potential:

Hener: "We have an offensive line - in Europe, everyone has to look for it first to find: Kane, Olisse, Louis Dias, Gnabry, and Musiara after the return - once they start to make efforts... However: to win the Champions League, you still need that so-called luck in the end."

But Heener also emphasized that the focus of the team is still the league championship, and he also hopes to enter the German Cup final in Berlin again.

- Although the Champions League can bring more income, the prize is only a consideration:

Hener: "Revenue does not apply in a single game. Just: Of course we have an established financial plan, and we are well-known to earn up to 100 million euros in the Champions League. This is certainly considered to a certain extent in our financial plan. Therefore, we always set that we can pass the group stage and enter the knockout stage. But when the whistle sounded at 9pm on Wednesday, I wouldn't think about the numbers anymore - just the victory."

- Reelection as Bayern President will be sought at the November Membership Conference:

Hener: "If you run for a position, you naturally want to be elected, there is no doubt. This year's Membership Conference will be themed '125th Anniversary of Bayern Munich', and will provide a wealth of content, including special exhibitions and photo opportunities, just like last year's exhibition focused on Franz Beckenbauer, which also gives members a glimpse of the scenes of our basketball venues."

-Reviews of the past 12 months are a special reason for being happy:

Hener: "For the first time in history, we have won German championships in all three professional sports - men's football, women's football and basketball. In addition, our economy is still in good shape."

- Hope there are more members to attend the annual meeting:

Hener: "To me, it's like a gathering of the Bayern family - I've always looked forward to it. We have 410,000 members, and this passion for Bayern is the driving force, making the club always a home for everyone. My colleagues in the presidium work hard for this."
