In the just-concluded MLS playoffs, Inter Miami defeated Cincinnati 4-0 to advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

Before Messi joined, Inter Miami was just a team at the bottom of the regular season. In 2023, Messi's first season after joining, Miami ended the MLS regular season second to last, but Messi led the team to win the UEFA Cup.

In the second season after Messi joined, Inter Miami won the MLS regular season championship and Messi won the MVP. However, they lost to Atlanta United 1-2 in the BO3 format of the playoffs and encountered Black 9 in the first round.

In the third season, Messi has led the team to the Eastern Conference Finals.
