Barcelona has obtained the first phase use permit issued by the Barcelona Municipal Government. This authorization covers Stage 1A, including the stands and south goal area, with a capacity of 25,991 spectators, including 81 seats for people with reduced mobility.
The improvements at this stage are significant:
- New player tunnel
- New dressing rooms for the first team and away teams
- Improved comfort and safety with more entrances, evacuation routes and guardrails
- Integrated ticketing system to support vehicle access on event days and during construction
- New sprinkler system and automatic fire extinguishing system The club is continuing its efforts to obtain the first phase license for Phase 1B (side stands), with the goal of expanding capacity to 45,401 spectators.
This goal is based on three main reasons:
- The return to the Camp Nou will only occur after ensuring that Phase 1A (stands and south goal) and Phase 1B (side stands) are fully approved.
- Ensure a complete verification process is completed and security is maintained before general availability.
- Sufficient time to conduct all necessary operational testing to optimize the use of available capacity.
FC Barcelona would like to thank its members and fans for their understanding and support in welcoming the return of the new stadium.
