NBA teams are increasingly willing to bear high buyout fees for the foreseeable future, according to ESPN salary expert Bobby Marks.

According to statistics, from 2013 to the present, a total of 54 players have been bought out with extended terms, with a total cost of US$320 million. Before this year's offseason, the highest amount was the Hornets' buyout of Batum (about $26.7 million was paid in three years in the last year, about $8.9 million a year). But in the past month alone, the NBA has generated a total of $223 million in buyouts, including $110 million for Lillard and $97 million for Bills.
