Before the preseason game where the Lakers lost to the Suns yesterday, Lakers coach Redick was interviewed.

When asked if James could play at least one Lakers preseason game, Redick said: "It's beyond my control. He knows his physical condition, we will work with him, we will work with Mike (James' personal trainer) to make sure he is in a comfortable state so he can be fully involved. But he trains on the court every day and keeps working out in the gym, continuing to prepare his body."
