Talking about altercations with opponents during games, Clay said: "I think it's great, sometimes it's fun to be active and feel that adrenaline rush. I mean, sometimes I can't control it. I'm a very competitive person."

"I think everybody in this locker room is like, this is basketball, man, as long as you don't cross the line, don't say something personal and just comment on someone's performance, that's part of the game."
